What makes people buy certain products? How do marketers determine target audiences? In this concentration, you’ll develop skills in marketing, promotion, advertising, and buying. With classes that delve into consumer behavior and market research, you’ll be prepared for entry-level positions in advertising, public relations, sales, marketing management, and marketing research. These courses, combined with the core requirements, which will offer you a broad exposure to, and sound foundation in, general business principles and practices. Students also receive credit for participating in an approved internship.
A program that generally prepares individuals to undertake and manage the process of developing consumer audiences and moving products from producers to consumers. Includes instruction in buyer behavior and dynamics, principle of marketing research, demand analysis, cost-volume and profit relationships, pricing theory, marketing campaign and strategic planning, market segments, advertising methods, sales operations and management, consumer relations, retailing, and applications to specific products and markets.
